Subscriber Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing corrections work for individual subscriber accounts on the MyoMed Prep platforms. It supplements the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
For institutional or organizational accounts, the terms of the applicable Institutional Licensing Agreement govern cancellations and refunds.
1. Free Trial
1.1 Every new NexGen Mastery account receives thirty (30) days of full Premium access at no charge. No payment method is required to start the free trial. Free trial availability on RadMatrix, Rescue, and Foundations may vary and will be stated at the time of registration.
1.2 When the trial ends, your account automatically continues on the Free level (where available). We will not charge you unless you affirmatively subscribe to a paid plan.
1.3 You do not need to cancel during the free trial. Because no payment method is collected, there is nothing to cancel and no charge to avoid.
2. Subscription Plans and Auto-Renewal
2.1 MyoMed Prep operates the following subscriptions:
- NexGen Mastery offers a Free level and a paid Premium subscription, available on monthly or annual billing cycles.
- RadMatrix is a separate paid subscription.
- Rescue is free while in preview and is not yet sold; we will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice before it becomes a paid subscription.
- Foundations is included at no additional charge with any active paid subscription above. It is not sold separately.
Each subscription is checked out and billed independently through Stripe. A subscription to one platform does not include access to another platform (except that every paid subscription includes Foundations). An All-Access subscription bundles NexGen Mastery Premium and RadMatrix at one price, and includes Rescue while it remains in preview. Synapsis AI is available on all platforms as part of your active subscription.
2.2 Auto-Renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to the payment method you provide. Your subscription will continue to renew until you cancel.
2.3 Price Changes. We may adjust subscription prices upon at least thirty (30) days’ notice before your next renewal date. The adjusted price applies starting with your next renewal. If you do not wish to pay the new price, cancel before the change takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
3. How to Cancel
3.1 Self-Service Cancellation. You may cancel any paid subscription at any time from your Account page by selecting “Manage Billing.” Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm cancellation. If you hold multiple subscriptions (for example, NexGen Mastery and Rescue), you must cancel each one separately.
3.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period for the cancelled subscription. You retain full access to that platform until that date.
3.3 After Cancellation. Once your current billing period ends, your access to the cancelled platform reverts to the Free level (where available) or ceases. You keep your account, study history, and any Free-level content. Premium features and content are no longer available until you resubscribe. Cancelling one subscription does not affect your other active subscriptions.
3.4 Foundations Access. If you cancel all paid subscriptions, your access to Foundations content ends when your last active subscription period expires.
3.5 Resubscription. You may resubscribe to any platform at any time. A new billing period begins on the date you resubscribe.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 General Rule. All subscription payments are non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period after cancellation.
4.2 Why. When you subscribe, you receive immediate, full access to all content on that platform for the entire billing period. Because the content is delivered digitally and is available in full from the moment of purchase, partial-period refunds are not offered.
4.3 Discretionary Exceptions. We may, at our sole discretion, offer a credit or refund on a case-by-case basis in unusual circumstances. We are not obligated to do so, and a decision to grant a credit or refund in one case does not establish a precedent or entitle any other subscriber to the same treatment. Examples of circumstances where we may consider a discretionary exception include: (i) a documented extended platform outage that prevented access for a significant portion of your billing period; (ii) a charge that occurred after you followed the cancellation steps in Section 3.1 but the system failed to process your cancellation due to a technical error on our end; or (iii) other extraordinary circumstances at our determination.
4.4 How to Request a Discretionary Review. If you believe your situation qualifies for a discretionary exception, email contact.admin@myomedprep.org with the subject line “Refund Request” and include: (i) your account email address; (ii) the platform and subscription type; (iii) the date and amount of the charge; and (iv) a brief explanation of the circumstances. We will review your request and respond within fourteen (14) days.
5. Billing Errors
5.1 What Qualifies. A billing error includes: (i) a duplicate charge for the same billing period on the same platform; (ii) a charge at an incorrect amount (different from the price displayed at checkout or stated in our price-change notice); or (iii) a charge after your subscription was properly cancelled through the process in Section 3.1.
5.2 How to Report. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at contact.admin@myomedprep.org within fourteen (14) days of the charge. Include your account email address, the platform name, the date and amount of the charge, and a description of the error.
5.3 Resolution. We will investigate and, if we confirm a genuine billing error, correct it promptly. Corrections may take the form of a refund to your original payment method or a credit to your account, at our discretion.
5.4 Stripe Processing. All payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. We do not store your payment card details on our systems. Refunds for confirmed billing errors are issued through Stripe and may take five (5) to ten (10) business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
6. Termination by MyoMed Prep
6.1 If we terminate your account for violation of the Terms of Service, the Academic Integrity Policy, or any other Platform Agreement, you forfeit the remaining portion of all active subscription periods. No refund is provided for termination due to policy violations.
6.2 If we discontinue a paid platform entirely (not a feature change or update, but a full shutdown of a platform), we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice and issue a prorated refund or credit for any prepaid subscription fees covering the period after the discontinuation date.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
7.1 If you have a billing concern, we encourage you to contact us first at contact.admin@myomedprep.org before filing a dispute or chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.
7.2 If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your financial institution, we may suspend your account access pending resolution of the dispute. We reserve the right to provide transaction records and account information to the financial institution to respond to the dispute.
8. Institutional Subscribers
8.1 This policy applies to individual subscriber accounts only. If you access the Platforms through an institutional subscription (school, employer, or training program), your institution’s Institutional Licensing Agreement with us governs cancellations, refunds, and billing. Direct any billing questions to your institution’s administrator.
9. Changes to This Policy
9.1 We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. We will announce material changes on the Platforms at least fifteen (15) days before they take effect.
